Mission

The mission of the Henderson Forensic Science Center is to provide our community with the appropriate levels of public safety support to include the complete spectrum of up-to-date professional forensic laboratory services, crime scene investigation, evidence recovery and processing, and evidence management.

Although the facility will be located in Henderson, it will play a critical role in the overall safety and security of the entire Las Vegas Valley and Southern Nevada. 

Vision

Our vision for the Henderson Forensic Science Center is to provide a highly progressive and premier level of forensic laboratory services, crime scene investigation, and evidence management for one of the fastest growing communities in the United States.

Future emphasis on graduate-level forensic training and research activities will serve Southern Nevada as a premier location to educate and employ new forensic scientists, crime scene investigators, and evidence technicians.

The Forensic Science Center, Training, and Research Institute will become recognized as one of the top of its kind in the nation.

Our Promise

The Center’s resources will be used to assist other law enforcement agencies in Southern Nevada to every extent possible.
